The 2026 AI Telehealth Visibility Report

Patients no longer start at Google. They ask ChatGPT for the best online birth control, or ask Perplexity where to get Ozempic, and they act on the names the model returns. We measured which brands those models name, every day. This is the first public cut.

brand mentions

Answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI, collected on real buyer questions in daily rotation. Every figure below is mention frequency in real AI answers. It measures visibility, not clinical quality.

Finding 1. AI has already picked its favorites, and it is a short list

The same handful of names dominate every engine and category. The top 10 brands captured 21 percent of all 59,887 mentions, and Hims & Hers alone appeared in roughly one of every four AI answers.

#BrandMentionsShare of answers
1Hims & Hers2,566~25%
2Ro1,964~19%
3PlushCare1,473~14%
4GoodRx1,111~11%
5Teladoc1,062~10%
6Calibrate984~10%
7Talkspace947~9%
8Amwell927~9%
9Roman880~9%
10Nurx852~8%

Finding 2. The four engines disagree, sometimes sharply

There is no single AI recommendation. Each engine has its own favorite. Claude is the most opinionated: it named only 710 distinct brands across the study versus 1,571 for Perplexity, and Hims & Hers is 7.1 percent of everything Claude said. ChatGPT is the most talkative, packing 8.3 brand names into the average answer versus about 5.5 for the others.

EngineFavorite brandShare of engine
ChatGPTPlushCare4.7%
ClaudeHims & Hers7.1%
PerplexityRo3.0%
Google AIHims & Hers3.3%

Finding 3. The category winners, and a few surprises

Ro owns the branded GLP-1 queries: ask an AI where to get Ozempic, Wegovy, or Zepbound and Ro wins all three, but the generic GLP-1 weight loss question goes to Hims & Hers. AI still names Done for ADHD despite the scrutiny that category has faced, and for hair loss it names the drugstore staple Rogaine over the telehealth challengers.

Finding 4. AI's answers are built on Reddit, GoodRx, and Healthline

We parsed the 27,404 sources the engines cited. This is where AI visibility is won, because these are the pages the models read before they answer. The standout: Reddit is the second most-cited source, and every one of those 1,046 citations came from Perplexity. ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI did not cite Reddit for telehealth at all.
